Smash Mouth Frontman Goes Country

NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — One more rockstar is going down that country road. Not unlike lead singer, Darius Rucker, of Hootie & the Blowfish, Smash Mouth’s Steve Harwell has moved to Nashville and soon has a country album to begin dropping his first singles in the fall. The name currently being considered for the album is “All the Way Gone.”

Harwell while attending Thursday’s premiere "Inglourious Basterds" spoke with The Tennessean and had this to say to about both his new album and Rucker "We're on the same path, I'm fortunate enough to have him on a track on my new record. I've just really wanted to make this record for a long time. It's kind of an alternative country. I think it's what people have been waiting to hear." –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
