When Harper had to move to Michigan with her partner, Detroit Lions player Jared Goff, she had to adjust to the weather. She admits to SI.com that it was hard for her to get outside. "The hardest part for me was adjusting to the lack of sunshine in the winter," she says. "It made me just want to stay inside all day." Harper says that she still motivated herself to go outside, mainly by doing new activities. "I had to prioritize ways to get outside, go to a coffee shop, try new restaurants, go for walks, go to a workout class to keep things interesting."
Another thing that helps Harper get outside is getting new gear. "Nice quality and cute winter gear you are excited to wear makes the process of leaving the house fun and exciting," she tells SI.com. Harper also revealed some of her favorites in the interview. She loves bodysuits, boots, and coats, among others.
Harper revealed her beauty secrets to Skincare.com. "I love coconut oil and use it for almost everything," she says. "It's great for makeup removal, as a face mask, or to give my skin hydration after being out in the sun. Keep some in a small jar to throw in your purse – or beach bag – as you never know when you might need some extra moisture."
Harper broke down her skincare routine to Skincare.com. "In the mornings, I keep it simple. I wash my face with Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser and apply an organic almond and rosehip facial oil [to my complexion]. At night, I use coconut oil to remove any stubborn makeup left over from a shoot, then wash my face with cleanser. I try to exfoliate a few times a week—without overdoing it—and will either use a cleansing brush or gentle scrub. If I have any acne spots on my face, I avoid exfoliating the area, so that it can continue to heal. For these breakouts, I like to apply a spot treatment on the area before bed, followed by eye cream, and an organic facial oil."
Harper loves to use face masks to take care of her skin. She tells Skincare.com that she usually uses these when she has a shoot the next day. "If I have time the night before an important shoot, I like to do a sheet mask to get my skin hydrated and prepare for the next day. It's also a nice way to pamper yourself and rest before a big event."
