Allen was born on 13 March 1987 in Chewelah, Washington, United States of America where he grew up with his family and friends. He started singing at the age of 3  from a church where his father was a preacher and his mother an OB/GYN nurse. He started playing guitar and worshipping in the church in front of the crowd which made him gain lots of experience and confidence for music.

At the age of 15 when he heard Stevie Wonder’s album, “Innervisions” in 1973 which made him discover “soulful” music. His close friend Stacie Orrico as a teen became successful in music and soon he realized that he should become serious about his music career. By 18 Allen moved to Spokane where he joined community college and later joined “Moody Bible Institute”.Finally, after his education, he moved to Seattle to pursue his career in music.
